Over the past 16 years I have learned from many different sources -books, seminars and documentaries. There are some great resources out there. One of my favorite documentary movies is Food Matters” and if you havent seen it please watch it. It focuses on the importance of nutrition through whole organic foods.
Another great documentary about juicing and auto-immune disease is “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” You can watch them both on Netflix.
Below is a list of “Do’s” and “Dont’s” for a nutrition based anti-inflammatory diet. Nobody is perfect – especially me! I encourage my friends to do more of the “Do’s” and less of the “Dont’s: for a healthier lifestyle. Although I eat alot of fresh organic fruits and vegetables I am not a vegetarian – I consider myself a Nutritarian. I focus on giving my body the proper nutrition it needs to reduce inflammation and function at an optimum level. Those of us with inflammatory diseases like Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Psoriasis and others should ALWAYS consult your Doctor before beginning any sort af new diet or nutrition program.
